The Program in Practice

Initial Assessment and Data Collection

  • Baseline Health Metrics: Trainers initially assess clients' health metrics: blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI/waist circumference, and point-of-care cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

  • Data Entry into Disease Risk Calculators: This data is recorded and inputted into accredited disease risk calculators to evaluate the client's risk of various health conditions.

Interpretation and Insight Sharing

  • Basic Health Status Interpretation: Trainers provide clients with a basic interpretation of their current health status based on these metrics.

  • Risk Calculator Outputs: They also offer insights on the outcomes of the disease risk calculators, helping clients understand their potential risk for conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, etc.

Implementation of Lifestyle Interventions

  • Customized Lifestyle Changes: Based on the initial assessment, trainers implement evidence-based lifestyle interventions. These may include weight loss programs, dietary adjustments like salt and sugar reduction, sleep improvement strategies, alcohol consumption moderation, tailored exercise programs and evidence based supplementation and nutritional support.

Monitoring and Tracking Progress

  • Regular Health Metric Assessments: The efficacy of these lifestyle changes is tracked by observing any shifts from the baseline health metrics during bi-weekly assessments.

  • Graphical Trend Analysis: Progress is visualized through graphical representations, showing positive or negative trends in health metrics.

  • Re-evaluation Using Risk Calculators: Updated health metrics are re-entered into risk calculators, and any improvements in disease risk are outlined to the client.

Medical Oversight and Advanced Testing

  • Quarterly Medical Reviews: Every three months, a registered medical doctor reviews accumulated health data and may make medical recommendations if necessary.

  • Advanced Testing for Experienced Trainers: Experienced IIPM coaches will have access to more advanced point-of-care testing and third-party testing services, expanding the scope of health metrics assessed and offering the public access to higher resolution health metrics.

Continuous Expansion and Improvement

  • Adding New Health Metrics: The program aims to continuously integrate additional health metrics and testing capabilities.

  • Feedback and Adaptation: Regular feedback from trainers, clients, and medical professionals is used to refine and enhance the service.

  • Ongoing Trainer Education: Trainers are kept abreast of the latest developments in health monitoring and preventive care through continuous education.

In essence, this comprehensive system not only equips trainers to contribute significantly to their clients' health but also fosters a collaborative approach to healthcare, bridging the gap between fitness and medicine. The regular inclusion of medical oversight ensures safety and enhances the credibility of the interventions, making this program a vanguard in integrated health management.
